Ping Di (Open Land) Town - 40 minutes drive from Pingshan Town
The following is an interview of Sifu Xu Men Fei when he was 37 years old (2002). The above clip shows a section of Iron Ox Two Door set.
It was very refreshing to see a young master like Mr. Xu, who not only demonstrated a great deal of the Iron Ox strength, but was also a gentleman and a family man, in every sense.
As grandson to a notable Iron Ox Tanglang teacher, Mr. Xu Fat Chen, who passed away in 1996 at age 88, the younger Xu teaches boxing and the unicorn dance during the New Year, not only in Ping Di Town but also in neighboring Towns of the District.
He states that for two months after the New Year, regular Iron Ox classes are held in the village Hall where students pick up skills and then return home for the rest of the year to work on them.
Today, there are four such Towns; Ping Di, Dan Xue, Hui Yang, and Huizhou, each with 20-30 students of Iron Ox Mantis.
