At the request of Sifu Wong Yu Hua , a number of junior, senior and elder Southern Mantis masters, dating back to circa 1920's, gathered in 2002, in Huizhou, Guangdong.  It's about an hour's drive from Pingshan Town and most of the mantis brothers there, had not seen each other for many years.

The gathering included those who in the 1930's and 40's, were among the in-crowd of Chu Gar and Iron Ox, as well as, Kwongsai Mantis.  Some having studied all three branches of Som Dot's teaching, did not hesitate to speak of the past or show their hand.
