Cheng Wan explained further - After I trained for six months, I met those same guys again who stole my tools and I defeated them with a lop shu grabbing hand and spring power.  Afterwards, instead of enemies we all became friends through Chu Gar Mantis.

The history of Chu Gar Mantis begins with Wong Leng.    He was the Fukien Shaolin 8th Sishung and responsible for collecting fire wood.  One day a monkey took his robe and he followed the monkey.  From this he learned "three step".   Wong Leng went down to Guangdong, Wu Hua district, where he met a bean curd seller named, Chu An Nam.  He stayed with the Chu family for 3 years.  At first, he didn't teach the Chu family any boxing.  But, after another three years he taught them what he knew and then left to Shandong where he created a northern style.
